The World Sport Education Karate Union (WSEKU) is a democratic non-profit making international SPORT KARATE body and. Our organisation exists to provide high-level KARATE competition for athletes worldwide and membership is open to all autonomous and independent national and international federations, associations, organizations, clubs, dojos, unions, universities, colleges, gymnasiums, schools, palaces and children's clubs, individual natural persons and groups practicing various branches of educational karate under the form of SPORTS KARATE , who believe in our values. We believe that KARATE should be open to everyone and membership of the WSEKU does not compromise your own individual or federation affiliation. We believe in the basic principal that Karate should be open to all without restriction.

WSEKU we strongly believe that all karate styles representt one of the highest expression of human art, and deserve a recognition as patrimony of humanity. Due to their capability of fuse wellness, meditation, philosophy and sport they can be practiced by everyone at every age in every place, helping people feel close friends in the MARTIAL ART of KARATE-DO by fostering cooperation, empathy and integration.

The styles recognised by the WSEKU are Shotokan, Shito-ryu, Goju-ryu, Wado-ryu and those in the Rengokai category accepted (all other styles together: American Kenpo Karate, Ashihara, Budokan, Byakuren, Chinese Kara-Ho Kempo Karate, Chito -ryu, Enshin, Gensei-ryu, Gosoku-ryu, Isshin-ryu, Kyokushin, Ken Ryu, Kokusan Ryu, Kosho Shorei Ryu - Kempo Karate, Motobu-ryu, Nanbudo, Ryuei-ryu, Seidokaikan, Sendo-Ryu, Shaolin Kempo Karate, Shidokan, Shindo Jinen Ryu, Shitokai, Shohei-ryu, Shorin-ryu, Shorei-ryu, Shorinji Kempo, Shorinjiryu Kenkokan, Shudokan, Shukokai, Sankukai, Shisui Ryu, Shuri-ryu, Toon-ryu, Uechi-ryu, Yoseikan, Yoshukai, etc.)

WSEKU was founded with the aim of bringing together, with equal dignity, all the above-mentioned forms of organization that recognize the values presented and want to be part of a larger and more united family.

This big new project requires a structured organization that will be made up of various world and continental commissions that will collaborate with the national federations.

WSEKU is now focusing on the upcoming World, Continental, International and National Championships, technical seminars, training and refresher courses for referees, coaches, teachers and so on.

WSEKU has been headquartered in Romania since 2022, following obtaining approval of the Romanian Ministry of Justice.
